Ode to Sorikkot

“소리꽃을 위한 서정시 (Ode to Sorikkot)” is a poetic ritual, chant, and collective listening performance that imagines a time when plants and humans were attuned to one another. Continuing from the previous project S.Abligua X Odekon, Odd Sonorous draws on mythology and ancestral cosmologies to weave together spoken poetry, voice, sound composition, and real-time environmental data collected from the performance site, ZK/U. In a collaboration with ZK/U’s long term project ClimArt, Odd Sonorous processes live data from the rooftop weather station and soil sensors. The live performance invites a form of listening that moves beyond language—into a space where resonance becomes a shared presence, memory moves in cycles, and being unfolds through echoic relation.
